A grassroots public health leader with an extensive background working with state health departments and community-based organizations on several health programs. I am currently a Doctor of Public Health student, working as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Urban Health Disparity Research and Innovation, responsible for the engagement of our stakeholders using a community-based participatory research approach. I also coordinate data collection, data management, data analysis, and interpretation, ensuring HIPAA compliance. In my prior roles, I have collaborated on projects that seek to advance public health information technology, leveraging my public health background to provide technical assistance to projects around interoperability, data standardization, the building of operation data hub (ODH), EHR usability for home and community-based services, and development of curriculum for the Public Health Informatics Technology (PHIT) project.
