The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Scholars Program enhances HRSA’s ability to recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-quality individuals as the next generation of public health leaders.
HRSA Scholars are provided a unique perspective across the organization and see how HRSA works towards accomplishing its mission of improving health outcomes and providing high-quality health care for those in need. The cornerstone of the Scholars Program is a structured, individualized, 12-month development program with a focus on specific public health programs.
Throughout the year Scholars will:
- Participate in rotations across HRSA’s Bureaus or Offices.
- Support activities and assignments with a public health focus.
- Connect with leaders across HRSA, including HRSA Scholar alumni.
- Work together to develop as a cohort, including through development and training opportunities and small group sessions as well as individual development with a mentor.
An informational session about HRSA, the HRSA Health Equity Fellowship Program, and other opportunities is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, Noon – 1 p.m. Interested candidates can join the meeting.
